There once was a monkey who loved to play pranks on the other animals in the jungle. One day, he decided to play a prank on the wise old owl.
The monkey snuck up behind the owl and shouted, "Hey, Mr. Owl! Guess what?"
Startled, the owl turned around and said, "What is it, little monkey?"
With a mischievous grin, the monkey replied, "I bet I can jump higher than you!"
The owl, being wise and knowing that monkeys are excellent jumpers, decided to play along. He said, "Alright, little monkey, let's see what you've got!"
The monkey took a few steps back, preparing for his jump. He leaped into the air, flapping his arms and legs, but only managed to jump a few feet off the ground.
The owl, with a knowing smile, calmly said, "That was a jump scare."
