A group of scientists were studying an experiment involving teleportation. They found that certain objects could be instantly moved from one location to another without passing through any intermediate spaces or places.
One day, they decided to test this phenomenon by moving a small rock across their laboratory table. As everyone watched in amazement, the rock suddenly appeared on the other side of the table, without ever leaving its original position. Excited by these results, the team leader announced that they would now attempt to move larger objects using the same method.
A few days later, they chose a large wooden chair as their next subject for experimentation. The chair was carefully placed at one end of the table, while all the scientists stood back at the other end. Everyone held their breath as the researchers began setting up the equipment for the transport. Finally, with a loud shout, the scientist activated the machine...
...And the chair vanished completely! It was nowhere to be seen anywhere near where it had been just moments before. The scientists frantically searched every corner of the room but couldn't find even a single piece of the chair.
"This can't be happening!" shouted the team leader. "We've lost our only copy of this valuable piece of furniture!"
