A frog looks out over a river. On the other side, he sees a scorpion.
The scorpion says nothing. It just stands there, a stoic and featureless facade to the cruel world.
The frog is confused. He decides to swim across the river and ask the scorpion to explain itself.
Before the frog can take a step, a spider appears in front of it. It is covered in thousands of eyes.
"A joke is not funny when it's explained," says the spider.
