In a field of tall grass, a frog looks for a place to rest. As it sits down, it hears a faint rustling. Looking to its right, it sees a massive, featureless spider, almost as large as the frog.
"Hello, spider," says the frog, "what are you doing here? This is my home."
The spider, without saying a word, pulls out a gun and points it at the frog.
"This is my home now," it says.
Suddenly, a scorpion jumps onto the frog's back. "Don't listen to the spider!" it says. "He wants to kill you! It's all he does."
The spider says nothing, continuing to aim the gun at the frog.
The frog looks from the scorpion to the spider. "So you both want to kill me?" it says.
"Yes." says both of them.
And in that moment, the frog realizes a horrible truth. That there is no point in trying to fight. That he is only delaying the inevitable. And so, it lets out a final cry of frustration. And in one swift motion, it swallows both the scorpion and the spider whole.
